Circa 1936: The 12" divided plate was the second piece discontinued from the original fiestaware line and didn't even make its way onto price guides. One of the earliest pieces, the 12" compartment plate will only be found in the first five fiesta colors, being discontinued even before the introduction of turquoise. The back is spectacularly designed with an abundance of hand tooled concentric rings, much like the early cake plates and the larger 12" plate makes a great and hard to find addition to the advanced collection. This example in the original yellow glaze is in excellent condition, please note one minor area of glaze irregularity on the edge of the plate (about 7o'clock in the photos), otherwise no scratches or signs of use and a nice rich and shiny yellow color. Enjoy both sides! Measures 11 3/4" wide x 1 1/8" tall.
