Circa 1938-1948: The Harlequin butter dish shape was borrowed from a line called Jade, which was designed in the early 30s. This is the larger of two sizes of butter dishes manufactured by Homer Laughlin to go with their pottery lines. Reffered to as the 1/2lb. butter, this example in original Harlequin yellow is in excellent condition. Measures a little over 9"long x 3 3/4" high.
