Happy Heidi Vintage Fiesta

Vintage Fiesta Pottery Mustard Jar in Original Turquoise Glaze | Circa 1937-1944

Circa 1937-1944: In the quest for perfection, the Homer Laughlin Pottery Company designed three mustards before finalizing the size that seemed just right. Produced for only 10 years, the vintage fiesta mustards are not easy to find. One of just two pieces in the original Fiesta pottery line that had a single cast piece for the lid, guaranteeing a straight and uniform knob, all other lids have a hand applied finial, which have a tendency to be quite tippy. The spoon hole would be cut out by hand, along with the foot being flared and then rings etched into the foot by a metal blade, one by one as the piece spins around on what is known as a jiggering machine. This example is in excellent condition without damage. Unmarked like they all are, and measuring a charming 2 1/2" wide by 3 1/16" tall.
