Circa 1936-1946: It is a delight to decorate the table with the Vintage Fiesta 12" Footed Comport. One of the great pieces of the original Fiesta pottery line—the footed salad crosses over from dinnerware to art pottery. Slip cast in two pieces, the foot would have been hand applied to the underside of the bowl and both pieces would have been turned on the jiggering machine to be decorated with bands of concentric rings. This example in the original ivory glaze is in good condition with no scratches on the inside but it is discounted more than 25% for a small glaze pop that created an age stain on the edge of the rim, as photographed. Other than that it is in excellent shape with a wonderful crisp stamp on the back "GENUINE fiesta HLC USA". Measures a generous 12 1/2" wide by 3 1/2" tall.
