Circa 1936-1940: Designer Frederick Rhead was well known from borrowing designs from other companies and places and the Fiesta syrup is another example of these influences. The original dripcut syrup, as is this one, was made in California with a patent applied for in 1935 (a year before the fiestaware pottery line would be released). Dripcut company did make the lids for Homer Laughlin and so this would be an official Fiesta lid while the body of the piece is marked "Dripcut Heatproof LA CAL" and would have been made in California around the same time the fiestaware syrups were in production. Collectors will appreciate how hard the ivory syrup is to find and this example will mix and match perfectly in your collection, or perhaps supply a missing dripcut lid. Excellent condition, without signs of damage or use. Measures 5 3/4" tall x 3 1/2" wide.
