Circa 1936-1946: Marked Version— The large fiestaware 12" footed comport (compote) is a delightful piece of vintage tableware that transcends dinnerware and elevates the line into art pottery. This generously sized bowl is a showstopping shape from the earliest days of the fiesta tableware line. Transcending mere dinnerware, the footed comports are elevated to art pottery and showcase the famous bands of rings both inside and out and around the wonderfully hand crafted wide foot. This example in the original green colored glaze is in excellent condition without signs of use, no damage and a great like new shine. This example is in excellent condition without damage and little to no signs of use. Please note a few of the lightest scratches on the inside bottom, very small and nearly impossible to see. Bottom boasts the nice "GENUINE fiesta HLCo USA" glaze stamp mark and well defined rings and even glaze application. Measures an impressive 12 1/2"w x 3 1/2"t.
