Circa 1936-1946: The sweets comport is one of the few fiesta pieces that was designed without the intention of marking, except by inkstamp "HLC USA", perhaps for export reasons. The sweets comport was discontinued right after WWII and will only be found in the original six vintage fiesta colors. This example in cobalt stands 3 1/2" h x 5 1/8" w and is in excellent condition without damage. The cobalt glaze is rich and even and the fluted base is attached nice and straight to the top dish.
