Circa 1933-1939: Advanced pottery collectors will recognize the small lidded syrup from the century line. The shape was borrowed for the Riviera line and dipped in the fiesta red glaze. Those examples are hard enough to find, but we rarely see the syrup pitcher decorated in gold. This piece was probably a special order item and it was kept as special and shows no sign of use. We can just picture this displayed in a hutch for the last 80+ years. Marked on the bottom of both pieces "WARRANTED 18 CARAT GOLD". This unique century shaped syrup captivates the senses and would be a delight to add to any collection.
