Circa 1936-1946: One of the great pieces of the Vintage Fiesta pottery line—the footed 12" comport, crosses over from dinnerware to art pottery when used on the table to display fruits or flowers. The slip cast foot would have been hand joined and the inside rings hand etched into the clay body on a jiggering machine. This example in the original cobalt glaze is in excellent condition, wonderfull early hand applied foot and extra outside bottom rings without the stamp and a great surface that shows very little use and no damage, just a great vintage piece in the wonderfully early rich color of cobalt. Measures 12 1/2" wide, 3 1/2" tall.
