Circa 1938-1944: Large Version— The large lidded casserole was the first piece designed for the fiesta Kitchen Kraft line. Part of Homer Laughlin's OvenWare line, the oven-to-table dinnerware was an importnat part of the vintage kitchen. Released at the beginning of 1938 in the four fiesta Kitchen Kraft colors of yellow, red, green and blue. The lids knobs were finished by hand work with the space under the knob being shaped and formed individually with hand tools. This example is in very good condition showing little use and minimal issues. There are no chips, cracks, touch-ups, repairs or crazing, please note some small staining on the underside of the lid that maybe in the making. Discounted accordingly. Nicely marked on the bottom "HL fiesta KITCHEN KRAFT U.S.A." Measures 8 5/8" across the body, the lid insets inside the rim and measures 7 13/16" across. Total height is 4 1/4".
