Circa 1939-1943: Like the Fiesta juice promotional sets of the 1940s, Homer Laughlin promoted the Riviera line with a juice set premium. Starting in the summer of 1939, the juice sets were made until the end of 1943. All pieces are scarce. They yellow pitcher was used first and sold along with tumblers in the original four Riviera colors (red, green, blue and yellow). The yellow Riviera juice pitcher was the standard color used for this ensemble, but is still hard to find today. Riviera was made in vastly lower quantities than its Fiesta and Harlequin counterparts and will taunt the hunting collector with its scarcity. Enjoy it while it's available because soon there will be little left to go around. This pitcher is in excellent condition and is guaranteed to please the collector, showing no use and excellent glaze coverage with the only issue of note is a small area of slightly lighter glaze on the bottom of one side. Measures 6 3/4" tall. Unmarked, as was all Riviera.
