Circa 1930s: Mentioned in Huxford's Collectors Encyclopiedia of Fiesta on page 205 as the Kitchen Kraft Ashtray and hard to find in any color. The OvenServe items are an exciting and varied group of Homer Laughlin collectables and the embossed examples, like this pumpkin glazed ashtray are a fun and unique addition to the collection. Note the four concentric inside bottom rings that tie the piece to the vintage fiestaware line. Examples of the ashtray from the OvenServe line are rare and seem to come up for sale only every few years. This example is in excellent condition without damage or wear. Please note one small glaze skip on the rim that is in the making.
