Circa 1951-1959: The vintage Harlequin 1950s colors will prove hard to find as the pottery waned in popularity and less and less was produced. Lovers of the subtle and sophisticated 50s gray glaze will rejoice in finding it on one of the largest of the Vintage Harlequinpottery pieces. Sometimes reffered to as the "ball jug", this shape was probably based on a Hall China piece made nearby in East Liverpool, Ohio. The Hall jug is slightly smaller and is readily confused as Fiesta pottery. The Harlequin ball jug is a fabulous piece with its distinctive, trademark rings around the base. It was made in all twelve Harlequin colors but will be harder to find in these 1950s colors. This example is in excellent condition without damage or signs of use. Please note a small area of glaze variation on the bottom of one side that is in the making. Standing at 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" wide
