Circa 1959-1969: Advanced collectors know that finding pieces in their original packaging is extremely hard and in decades of collecting, these are the first Fiesta Tom and Jerry Mugs we have ever seen in their original packaging. Red was discontinued by the end of 1942 but luckily re-released at the end of 1959. Reissued for a decade on the reduced line, it's a treat to find the original red glaze on a piece that had been in production since 1936. By the look of the stamps on the bottom of these mugs they were made together and this is not an assembled piece but an authentic pair of packaged and unused tom and jerry mugs. The mugs measure 3 1/8" x 4 3/8" and the original packaging is meant to hold the pair. The mugs are in unused condition and the original red stamped packaging is rare.
