Circa 1936-1938: Out of nearly 50 possible colors and sizes of bowls, it maybe the red number one with the inside bottom rings that is the cornerstone of all the nesting bowls. The number one fiestaware nesting bowls are becoming very hard to find, especially in excellent condition without signs of use or damage, such as this example. Bottom rings were removed from the bowls by 1938, making all of them an example of the earliest days of production of Homer Laughlin's fiesta dinnerware. This example is in amazing condition with a perfect glaze, no signs of use, not a scratch and a great crisp and easy to read mark "HL fiesta MADE IN U.S.A. 1". Please note a small, in the making glaze pop on the inside bottom edge of the bowl. This recent find won't last long and is guaranteed to make a great addition to your collection.
