Circa 1942: The immediate success of the Homer Laughlin's vibrant solid color dinnerware brought on promotions that ran in a multitude of local grocieries and general merchandise stores. Juice sets were their most prolific promo pieces. The standard example included the juice pitcher in fiesta yellow, but the Dayton Mills Spice Company, which had a long history in offering premiums, ordered a special edition with the disc juice in the fiesta red glaze to compliment their Old Reliable Coffee. This specific use makes the red fiesta juice pitcher a much harder to find version. This example is in excellent condition and boasts a wonderful rich, well applied glaze. No scratches, chips, cracks, crazing or touch-ups makes this perfect collectable example. Measures 5 15/16" H x 6 1/2" W. Marked on the bottom "HLc fiesta MADE IN U.S.A."
