Circa 1936-1942: The vintage Fiesta casserole, with it's scroll handled and finial top, shares it's design with both the sugar bowl and the covered onion soup bowl. The earliest versions have a hand applied foot, like the early footed sald bowls and 12" comports. In November of 1936 the mold was changed to include the foot, which was then hand turned on the jiggering machine. The scroll handles had to be attached by hand. The red covered casserole is not easy to find in good shape and it took me a long time to find one like this good enough for my collection. This example is in excellent, clean, condition with no damage and no apparent use. Guaranteed to please. Measures 9 3/4" w x 5 3/4" h.
