Circa 1938-1942: By the time you reach the #5 Fiesta mixing bowl, you've got yourself a large bowl. The #5 nesting bowl commands a presence. There is something about the vintage Fiesta bowl in the way it swells outwards and has thinner walls than expected that makes it larger and able to hold more than other types of bowls of the same size. Combine that with it's tall, spill proof walls and you have a kitchen bowl very tempting to use. Luckily, this example in the most desirable color of red doesn't appear to have seen any use and shows a nice even glaze with no irregularities. Please note one glaze pop on the inner side of the bowl and light shelf wear on the bottom rim. Otherwise, this fantastic bowl is as shiny as the day it was made with no chips, cracks, or repairs. It is impressed "HL fiesta MADE IN USA 5". Measures 8 9/16" w x 5 11/16h"
