Circa 1936-1938: Inside Bottom Rings— By the time you reach the #5 Fiesta mixing bowl you've got yourself a large bowl. Only a couple inches smaller than the #7 grandaddy of them all, the #5 nesting bowl commands a presence. There is something about the vintage Fiesta bowl in the way it swells outwards and has thinner walls than expected that makes it larger and able to hold more than other types of bowls of the same size. Combine that with it's tall, spill proof walls and you have a kitchen bowl very tempting to use. This bowl is in excellent condition, showing no use on the inside and only a few minor light scratches on the outside. The inside exhibits crisply defined bottom rings and an early iridescent shimmer to the coveted red glaze. Please note one glaze flaw on the inside above the top ring. This bowl is impressed "fiesta HLC USA 5". Measures 8 9/16" w x 5 11/16" h.
