Circa 1936-1942: The fiesta sugar bowl is an iconic piece from the original vintage fiestaware line. Part of the initial release in 1936, the piece has a suprising amount of hand work, including the knob being attached by hand and the foot being flared out with a shaping tool. The red glaze was discontinued early, so finding the early red fiestaware is harder than imagined. This example is in excellent collector quality condition, without chips or cracks or manufacturing flaws and is nicely marked on the bottom. Measures 5" tall x 4" wide.
