Circa 1936-1942: Three Piece Set— Sugar and cream are an important part of our daily dining. Delight is brought to the table when a Vintage Fiesta sugar and creamer set are used. Both pieces deliver a number of well concieved design elements and include an impressive amount of hand work to produce. The scroll tabbed handles would have been slip cast seperately and then hand joined to the molded sugar body. The flared foot needed to be shapped by hand as well, seams smoothed and more rings etched into the pottery. The sugar bowls lidded finial top was also cast seperately and joined by hand (a sloppy potter could easily attach them crooked, so look for upright examples). The creamer itself gives us the famous Vintage Fiesta ring handle which is supported by a cascading trio of scallops. Each piece is covered in bands of concentric rings and then dipped in the luscious Vintage Fiesta glazes. This set, in the highly desirable original red glaze, will delight the collector with it's wonderful glaze and perfect condition.
