Circa 1936-1938: Early Version— This is an interesting version of the early variation of the fiestaware utility tray. Usually found with a dry white foot, this example is fully glazed but has the straight sides in the deep well of the tray clearly making this an early example. Occassionally fully glazed early versions show up, but not very often, so this is a nice anomoly of a piece to add to your advanced collection. The original green colored fiesta glaze is in excellent condition without damage or signs of use. Three stilt marks under the lip are from the cones used to set the wet glazed piece on to be fired in the kiln and are in the making. Measures 10 1/2" long.
