Circa 1959-1969: Fiesta pottery had been on the market for nearly 25 years before the introduction of the Medium Green glaze. Sales were already slowing and many pieces had been discontinued from the original line. The covered casserole was one of the last remaining giants of the original Fiesta selection. A fantastic piece of holloware that included great details like individually cast handles and knobs that would have to be hand applied, along with an abundance of concentric rings and a gently flaring foot. Advanced collectors will enjoy the ability to add such a large piece of Medium Green holloware to their collection. It is an iconic piece that marks the end of an era. This example is in absolutely excellent condition without signs of use or damage. Measures 5 3/4" tall x 9 3/4" wide. Impressed mark in the bottom "fiesta MADE IN USA".
