Circa 1959-1965: Like all the vintage fiesta pottery plates and chop plates, the large oval platter was made upside down on a jiggering machine where the rings were etched into the back of the plate (front rings were part of the mold). Wonderful bands of concentric rings surround the top outer edge which gently rise up to create a nice sized well and a charming center circle of rings decorate the middle. And if that wasn't enough rings, lets add some to the back underside around the rim and fill the back inside footed area with yet more. This example of the harder to find medium green platter has crisply defined rings, a scratch free surface and a strong and crisp under the glaze stamp on the back. Measures a generous 12 1/2" x 9 7/8".
