Circa 1939-1943: The premium Riviera juice set was modeled after the Fiesta's successful promotional campaign was well underway. A much smaller line, sold at various resellers like Sears, The Murphy Co., and J.J. Newberry, Riviera dinnerware was produced in significantly smaller quantities than the fiestaware line. The mauve blue tumbler was marketed with the yellow Riviera jug and accompanied by tumblers in yellow, red, green, ivory and rarely turquoise. All pieces from this set should be considered hard to find if not rare. These humble tumblers are not showing up very often and it's been years since I've had any to offer for sale and these are the cleanest and nicest examples I have ever seen. You will not be disappointed with this hard to find piece. Please note this tumbler has no damage or signs of use but does have one small area near the base on one side with a little glaze variation (photo 8). Measures 3.5" tall by 2.5" wide and holds 7 ounces.
