Happy Heidi Vintage Fiesta

Vintage Harlequin Service Water Ball Pitcher in Original Maroon | Circa 1938-1942

Circa 1938-1942: The Harlequin ball jug was originally designed for the fiestaware line which makes sense when looking at the tell-tale bands of concentric rings which generously adorn the base and bottom of the water pitcher. Modeled after the Hall China's ball jug the piece was eventually used in Woolworth's Harlequin dinnerware line. The water pitcher was made in all colors and ran in production for an impressive 21 years. Harlequin red (now known as maroon) was one of the original 4 colors and was discontinued in 1942 as 4 new colors were introduced. This example is in very good condition without damage (please note a minor amound of light scratching) and boasts a wonderful rich and even glaze. (From the Becky Turner collection). Measures 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" wide.
