Circa 1936-1951: The fiesta Tom and Jerry mug is an interesting piece. Named after a popular drink from the 1930s which was like egg nog and served in punch bowls, the cute little shape has a hand applied ring handle that rests on a scalloped tier of three graduating swag motifs. The cup would have also had to have been hand tooled to achive its curved middle shape. It is this hand carving that gives the mugs different thicknesses and different amounts of middle curvature. This example in the original old ivory glaze is in excellent condition without damage, please note it shows gentle use but is without chips, cracks touchups, repairs or scratches. It has a wonderful rich and bold under the glaze stamp on the bottom "GENUINE fiesta HLCo USA". The mug measure 3 1/8" tall x 4 3/8" wide.
