Circa 1936-1938: The hand crafted work involved in the production of the fiestaware from the 1930s and 1940s is baffling in todays automated world. The stick handled creamer for example was cast in two pieces with the handle needing to be attached by hand to the body, along with the flare of the foot accentuated by hand with a pressing tool and then the rings on the foot would have been etched into place on a jiggering machine, again all by hand one piece at a time. It's no wonder the piece only lasted two years before being replaced with the round handled single molded version. The stick handled pieces are a great treat to add to the collection and harken back to the earliest days of the potteries making. Excellent condition. Measures 3"tall x 4 1/2" wide. Marked in the mold "fiesta HLCo USA".
