Circa 1936-1951: The vintage fiesta sauce boat measures nearly 8" from tip of spout to back of handle. The design is superb and really showcases pottery designer Frederick Rheads vision. Seven bands of concentric rings run around the top of the wide opening and under the long spout. The handle is outlined in bands that form a three tiered scallop at the base. If that's not enough, more rings decorate the foot which actually would have had to have been flared out by hand by a factory worker because the flared foot would not have been able to have been released from the mold in that shape. The two part molded seams would also have been smoothed down by hand before being dipped in glaze and fired twice. This example in original green is in excellent unused condition and shows a beautifully crisp in mold mark "HLC fiesta MADE IN U.S.A"
