Circa 1938-1950: The Homer Laughlin covered batter jug in the fiestaware light green color is the tallest piece that was made for the line. The green covered pitcher is also the cornerstone for the Waffle Set, which would also consist of a tabbed handled tray and a small covered syrup jar in red. The large lidded jug is mostly found in green and is a collection highlight. This example is in perfect, as made condition without signs of use or damage and has a wonderful green glaze on both the lid and the jug. Please note one glaze pop on one side but otherwise a nearly perfect example without the normal glaze irregularities usually found on this hard to find piece. Lid and pot are in perfect unused looking condition. Measures 7 3/4" tall.
