Circa 1938: The earliest oval bakers that were dipped in the solid colors for the riviera line have straigt sides and were taken from the Wells pottery line. It is much more common to find the oval inside version but this early straight sided version is a nice example of the potteries constant evolution. This example dipped in the original ivory vellum glaze is in very good condition without damage or signs of use. Stamped on the back Measures 9" long.
