Circa 1938-1944: Large Version— Kitchen Kraft was an oven-serve ware added to supplement the popular fiesta tableware line. Heat proof, the oven to table solid color dinnerware was dipped in the four vintage fiesta colors and added to the assortment of popular dishware. Simpler in shape and form but bright with the bold colorful glazes, collectors can enjoy expanding their vintage fiestaware finds by adding their favorite colors from the kitchen kraft line. The pie plate was made in two sizes and this is an example of the larger size measuring a little over 10 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" tall. Excellent condition with no chips and a bold glaze with only a few short, light, small use marks. The 10" version of the pie plate was the first of a few pieces made for the Royal Metal Manufacturing Company.
