Circa 1937-1951: The ring handled vintage Fiesta teacup and saucer set is the cornerstone of the line. No table was complete without the set and designer Frederick Rhead spared no expense in the design of the shape. Molded rings adorn the handle which would have to be attached to the cups body by hand, a labor intesnsive process. Bands of concentric rings would also decorate the top outside and in and the saucer front and back. It is this exquisite attention to detail that lends so much charm to the original vintage fiestaware line. This example in the rich and brilliant cobalt blue glaze is in perfect condition, without damage or flaws, marked on the bottom of the suacer "GENUINE fiesta HLC USA".
