Circa 1938-1942: With only 21 items in the fiesta kitchen kraft line, the covered jars are one of the highlights. Available in small, medium or large, all are hard to find and scarce in excellent condition. These ball jars (or cookie jars) were slip cast with the seams being smoothed by hand. The lids were hand shaped and can vary in quality of fit. This example of the medium jar in cobalt blue glaze is in excellent condition showing little to no signs of use, please note a few light scratches, a small lighter area of glaze on one small area on the side of the lid and some staining on the dry foot of the base, but no chips or cracks and still a lovely and hard to find piece.Marked on the bottom "HL fiesta KITCHEN KRAFT U.S.A.". Measures 6 1/4" tall x 7" across.
