Circa 1939-1942: This is the revised version of the original ram pressed utility tray which will have slightly more flared out sides. The ram press was known to cause warping in the clay body, so a slip cast version of the fiesta celery tray was introduced a few years after production. These slip cast versions will be fully glazed on the bottom and usually found with the ink stamp mark on the bottom. This example in the original cobalt blue is in excellent condition, without damage or use or scratches. Marked by the quality controllers numbers on the bott0m and fully glazed. Measures 10 1/2" long.
