Circa 1939-1942: The vintage fiesta pottery line did have an ashtray, but with the Harlequin line, the Homer Laughlin pottery company went all out, giving us three varieties of ashtrays to enjoy— plain, basketweave and saucer ashtrays. The basketweave ashtray enjoyed 21 years of production and the regular version 8, but the saucer ashtray was shortlived and only produced in six main colors, with examples in rose and original green showing up occassionally. None are easy to find and are even harder to find in excellent condition. This example in the original Turquoise glaze is in spectacular condition without any use or damage (cup included). Measures 6 3/16" wide by 1" high.
