Circa 1940: Modeled by Bill Barrisford, Miller and Frederik Rhead for Homer Laughlin's participation in the Joint Exhibit of Capital and Labor for the New York 1940 Worlds Fair, the 2" Martha Washington carved bust exhibits a mastery of sculptural talent. Dipped in the ever popular Homer Laughlin Century ivory vellum glaze. Marked on the bottom "The American Potter, New York World's Fair". Excellent condition, without damage or use.
