Circa 1936-1942: The Vintage Fiesta red glaze was actually more costly to make than any of the other original colors, the addition of uranium in the glaze formula drove the price up and the post-depression consumer watching their pennies didn't often treat themselves to the delightful red glaze. Discontinued by the end of 1943, the Vintage Fiesta red glaze became the first color dropped from the original line. Red will inevitably be one of the harder colors to find most items in and it is always a delight to add to the collection when found in excellent condition without damage, such as this example. Measures 12 3/8" x 1 1/8".
