Circa 1941-1951: It's interesting to note that the rose colored glaze developed at Homer Laughlin China Company was used as early as 1941 on the Harlequin dinnerware line and it wasn't until the color was discontinued on Harlequin that it was brought over into the Fiestaware line during the 1950s. A great, sophisticated, understated color, the vintage rose glaze far surpases any contemporary similar colors. This example of the Harlequin deep plate in original rose is in excellent collector quality condition without signs of use or damage. Please note some minor glaze variation ont he backside of the plate, but a nice application on the front and well defined bands of concentric rings. Unmarked as all original vintage Harlequin was. Measures 8 1/2" wide x 1 1/2" tall.
