Happy Heidi Vintage Fiesta

Vintage Harlequin Yellow Half Pound Butter | Circa 1938-1948

Circa 1938-1948: The Harlequin butter dish shape was borrowed from a line called Jade, which was designed in the early 1930s. The vintage fiesta ware line didn't have a butter dish, so collectors will borrow from other Homer Laughlin pottery lines. Referred to as the 1/2 pound butter, all examples are hard to find. Early pottery techniques include a molded ram pressed base, a slip cast finial that would have been hand attached to the delicate slip cast lid along with hand dipping into the glaze piece by piece. This example in the 1940s bright and sunner Harlequin yellow color is in excellent condition with no damage or signs of use, please note one in the making small flaw on the edge of the cover. Measures 9 1/8" w x 3 3/4" h.
