Circa 1938-1940: Found in eight of the original Harlequin colors, the single egg cup is a novelty amoung the pottery line. One of the only pieces without the tell-tale decorated rings, the piece harkens to the plainware being produced simultaneously in the California solid-colored dinnerware lines. Made for a scant two years in the spruce green colored glaze, the single egg cup is not easy to find. Adorable at 2 1/2" tall, this example is in excellent condition without use or damage. |
