Circa 1936: It will sometimes be years before I can find a mixing bowl lid good enough to add to the collection and offer for sale. This example of the largest version made, the number four, in the desirable original red glaze would easily be the highlight of any collection. Showing very few if any light and short scratches on the lid, there are no chips or cracks or repairs and the rare bowl lid looks fantastic. Please note one small area of staining on the dry white foot on the underside of the lid. Made for only six months in 1936 and the first piece discontinued from the fiesta line, it is possibly one of the rarest items in the entire vintage fiestaware selection. Measures 7 11/16" across.
