Circa 1959: The medium green colored glaze has the distinction of being the last color added to the famous solid colored pottery lines at Homer Laughlin. The great, rich, true green color was added just as many pieces were being cut from production as the pottery lines popularity declined temporarily durning the 1960s and 70s. Very few Harlequin cream soups in medium green come to market and even less that are in excellent, unused condition. This example is unmarred, except please note a flaw in the mold that would have caused the small irregularity on the base of one side of bowl, completely in the making and glazed over, otherwise no chips or cracks or scratches even - just a remarkable survivor of a rare and hard to find collectable piece. Measures a wide 6 3/4" from handle tip to tip x 2" tall.
