Circa 1938-1951: The variety of pitchers that Frederick Rhead designed and produced for Homer Laughlin is really impressive. This version of a milk jug for the Harlequin line, referred to as the 22 ounce jug, is one of the boldest and jovial design of them all. The jutting handle and spout nearly double its width and the restrained decorations are superb. This example in original Harlequin blue, now known as mauve, is in excellent condition without damage, touch-ups or repairs and boasts a nice rich application of the glaze. 5" tall by 6 1/2" wide from tip of spout to back of handle.
