Circa 1936: It's not often I refer to a piece of Homer Laughlin pottery as rare, but these Riviera pottery handled mugs truely fit the bill, and the ivory example is the rarest of them all. This will be the first example I have ever acquired. The handled tumbler is one of the great pieces of pottery from the Riviera line. Cups would have been slip cast with the handle attatched by hand. The rare ivory example will complete the set of five, including red, mauve blue, yellow and original green. This example shows no damage, signs of abuse, no touch-ups or repairs on this scarce ivory handled tumbler.
