Circa 1937-1944: Originally designed in the Spring of 1936 for the Royal Metal Manufacturing Co. of Chicago, the Homer Laughlin Promotional covered casserole with metal go-along holder in original green glaze is a whimsical addition to add to the fiesta collection. These pieces will always be unmarked and have the three sagger marks from the kilns on their undersides. Casserole, with its charming rim design, measures 7 13/16" wide and 4 3/16" tall. This example, from the Brian Fischer collection, boasts its original "RoyalChrome" foil label. Luckily noone ever put this casserole in the oven at 450 degrees for three hours! Comes with the metal go-along carrier and makes a wonderful set. Please note glaze irregularities under the lid, skip on the base and pop on the top of the lid. Undamaged piece of course, never seeing any use.
