Circa 1938-1959: The Harlequin
butter dish shape was borrowed from a line called Jade, which was designed in the early 30s. This is the larger of two sizes of butter dishes manufactured by Homer Laughlin to go with their pottery lines. Reffered to as the 1/2lb. butter, this example in original Harlequin
turquoise (which is a brighter, sunnier version than the original fiesta turquoise) is in excellent condition with no chips, dings, flakes and most importantly never any touch-ups or repairs. Harder to find and in great collector quality without issues and a real treat for the vintage Homer Laughlin Pottery collection.
