Circa 1951-1959: The Harlequin service water pitcher is sometimes reffered to as the "ball jug" and the shape was probably based on a Hall China piece made nearby in East Liverpool, Ohio. The Hall pitcher is slightly smaller and will not have the bands of rings decorating the outside bottom of the jug. The Harlequin service water pitcher is a fabulous piece that is heavier and seems more akin to the fiesta and fiesta kitchen kraft lines, making it a nice fusion piece that blends the lines together. Made in all twelve Harlequin colors, the 1950s colors will prove to be hard to find. Standing at 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" wide this example is in excellent condition without any damage and boasts a nice even glaze, without issues.
