Circa 1940: Autumn in Nonstandard Turquoise Glaze—Already unique, the seasonal scenes are occasionally found dipped in nonstandard glaze colors, like this example of the Autumn scene, which is usually found in the original Vintage Fiesta red glaze, while original Vintage Fiesta turquoise glaze was used as the bright blue sky of summer. So here we have an unusually sunny autumn day for a hunter and his best friend to go to the countryside in search of some fowl. Marked on the back "The American Potter New York Worlds Fair, 1940, Joint Exhibit of Capital and Labor". Measures 4 1/4" w.
