Vintage Fiesta 11 3/4" Fruit Bowl

Circa: 1937-1946: The 11 3/4" Fiesta bowl is the widest of all the vintage fiesta bowls produced. 11 5/16" inches wide from rim to rim, 4 1/2" wide at base and 3" tall. Referred to as the "salad nappie" by designer and creator Frederick Rhead, and envisioned as a salad bowl to be used with the Fiesta Kitchen Kraft fork and spoon. Details from the Fiesta Kitchen Kraft line show in the pair of incised rings just under the outside lip and no other expected decoration is found. . In the mold mark "Fiesta/HLC USA". This example in original red boasts great shine and no wear, please note a very small ding to the outer edge of the rim in picture 5 at about 7 o'clock, but the important surface is without utensil marks or unsightly scratches. The large fruit bowl will delight the collector with its great size and usuable form in this hard to find vintage piece in the desirable early red Fiesta glaze.
